What happened to the (3x+2) on the left? You multiplied it out on the right-hand side but it seemed to disappear on the left. Am I missing something?

Thanks for the question! It’s multiplied on both sides but I didn’t fully show my work on the left–I just used words (“multiply by the denominator”). I will revise the math to show that first step more clearly.
