I tried each number when I put in -1-2, for (a-2) I got -3 f(x)= x^2 -3^2 = 9 f(x) =9 g( f(x)) = x-9 ,9-9=0 g(f(x)) =9-9 =0 Log in to Reply
f(x) =x^2 (a-2)^2-9 =0 subsitute a-2 for x which must be squared as per function directive (a^2-4a+4 )-9=0 a^2-4a-5= (a+1)( a-5)=0 so when a=-1 this will satisfy one point where y will be = to 0 Log in to Reply
