f(x) =x^2

(a-2)^2-9 =0 subsitute a-2 for x which must be squared as per function directive

(a^2-4a+4 )-9=0
a^2-4a-5= (a+1)( a-5)=0 so when a=-1 this will satisfy one point where y will be = to 0
