I have never used a graphing calculator in my life but I still have a couple of months before my SAT. Should I get one now? Is there enough time to get comfortable with one?

You have plenty of time to get comfortable with a new calculator between now and October. That said, a the marginal value of a graphing calculator on the SAT only is not so great.

If you’re planning to take a Subject Test as well, where graphing calculators can really help you out a ton, then I’d strongly recommend you get one. If you’re thinking of getting one only for the SAT and nothing else, well, I’m not sure it’s worth the money. How often in your prep so far have you come across a question that you couldn’t answer, but that you would have been able to answer easily with a graph?
