Can you do test 5 num 27 (section 4)?

Sure can! The thing to remember on average questions is that the number of things being averaged times the average equals the sum. In other words, if the mean score of 8 players is 14.5, then the total points scored by those 8 players is 8\times 14.5=116.

If you remove the highest scorer, you’re left with 7 players averaging 12 points, a total of 7\times 12=84 points.

Removing that one player moved your points total from 116 to 84, which means that player must have been responsible for 116-84=32 points.
