So my friend gave the Dec SAT today and he was only given 15 min by his proctor for the Essay! What should one do in such a situation?
Ok, so I’m in a very weird position right now. I got a 2290 on my November SAT(first attempt) with a 800 in M, 740 in CR and 750 in W. I had already registered for the Dec SAT because the deadline for registration was much before the Nov. scores were released. Now I’m in a dilemma. I have not had any time to practice and I know increasing my score will require a lot of focused prep. What do you recommend I do? Also, is it true that after 2250, all scores have the same value to colleges?
November scores are out and I got a 2290 with an 800 in Math! I would just like to say a huge thank you. Your math guide, your essay guide and your website as a whole helped me tremendously 🙂
A quick Q, would you recommend retaking it once more with this score?
Is it acceptable to use examples from fantasy novels and TV shows in my essays? Will this cause a decrease in my score?
Now that I’m running out of blue book tests, what would you recommend? Past QAS papers or the online course?
The celebrants at the _____ party for Cinco De Mayo were understandably ______ by the spectacle of the mariachi bands and the colorful pinatas for the children.
B) lavish..dazzled
D) mundane..astounded
I understand why B) will work but why wont D) work?

Hey Mike!
I was just wondering whether any of the tests in the Online course provided by College Board are real previously administered tests? I read this somewhere but was not able to find any official info.
In the 1960s Marvin Gaye sang duets with several other Motown artists, (which includes) Mary Wells, Kim Weston, and Tammi Terrell.
A) which includes
B) which included
C) they included
D) and that included

I picked B but that is the wrong answer. I was unable to reason out why any other choice would be better. It would be tremendously helpful if you explained.
There are (more than) 300 million English speakers (in) India, most of (them) acquired English (as) a second Language. (No Error)
I picked (No Error) but the answer is (them). Could you please explain why is this so?
Blue book page 975. In the passage about Trabb’s boy, I was not able to fully comprehend the details of the passage but was still surprisingly able to answer all the questions correctly. Is this normal or should I work towards increasing my comprehension?
Ok so I just found out about the new essay grading policy for the Essay Guide Owners.
The thing is, I am an international with no reputable SAT tutor near me. One of the major reasons why I bought your Essay guide was because it offered online grading by you, someone I’d come to trust after reading your math guide and seeing huge improvements. So my question is, if I purchase your essay guide again after my three essays are over, would you be able to grade another 3?
Is there enough time now to satisfactorily prep for the November SAT in your opinion? How much time would I have to devote on a daily basis? I know it’s not possible to give me an exact no of hours or something but am approximate figure would be tremendously helpful. Thanks 🙂
So I have done some moderate vocab prep but how much attention, according to you, is necessary on vocab if I’m able to answer most SCs in all the blue book and QAS tests I’ve taken so far? I fear that I’m able to answer the q’s in these tests because the lists that I have studied have been compiled using these tests and thus I might not be able to answer in the real test. Is this so?
How many full practice tests do you recommend one should take before the real thing? And what is your take on taking one or two sections a day? I usually get 1 hour of free time everyday instead of getting 4 hour chunks. How do you suggest I mould my prep into this time? Or should I try devoting more time everyday?
